Charles has spent his entire life in the Augusta area, with the exception of 4 years college at Montana State University. He spent summers growing up working on area ranches and working for the Forest Service on a Wilderness Trail Crew and on Forest Fires, spending a great deal of time in the Bob Marshall and Scapegoat Wilderness areas. He also worked on a fishing boat in Alaska. After receiving a degree in secondary education, he started an insurance agency, (Taylor Agency), in 1988, which he still owns and operates. Charles added real estate to the business in 2005. Charles has been a volunteer with The Augusta Volunteer Fire Department and currently serves as Assistant Chief. In addition he is an EMT withe the Augusta Volunteer Ambulance. He resides in Augusta with his wife and 2 daughters.
